What is included in the cost of my registration? 
There are different registration types, and each is fully explained on our Registration Page.

How can I register a group of 10 or more employees and receive a discount?
Group registration must include 10 or more “Member” registrations that are submitted at the same time and paid for by one payment will receive a 10% discount per registration, if registrations are received by January 10. Discount does not apply to Students, Academia, Non-Members, Life Members, Presenters, Membership Dues or registrations that have been already confirmed and paid. Email meetings@arema.org for details.

Will the Technical Sessions be available On Demand?
All Technical Sessions will be made available On Demand after the Symposium concludes.  

How many Professional Development Hours will you receive? 
By attending The Symposium, you may earn up to 12.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). PDHs are available through AREMA’s relationship with the New York Professional Engineers (PIE) Program. Individuals needing PDHs for other states may self-declare using AREMA’s form. Instructions on how to obtain your PDH forms will be provided after the event. 
 
How do I retrieve my PDH or PIE Certificate?
By attending The Symposium, you may earn up to 12.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH).  Please note that your individual state board has the final authority on approving all Professional Development Hours for activities attended. Your PDH certificate(s) and instructions on how to obtain them will be made available after the event.

If I register for The Symposium as a participant, what do I agree to so I may attend? 
Participation Waiver. As a condition of my participation in this meeting or event, I hereby waive any claim I may have against AREMA and its officers, directors, employees, or agents, or against the presenters or speakers, for reliance on any information presented and release AREMA from and against any and all liability for damage or injury that may arise from my participation or attendance at the program. I acknowledge that participation in AREMA events and activities brings some risk and I do hereby assume responsibility for my well-being. If another individual participates in my place per AREMA transfer policy, the new registrant agrees to this disclaimer and waiver by default of transfer. 
 
I understand that travel and gathering involves risk of sickness, including sickness or death from COVID-19. I waive and release AREMA and its sponsors and exhibitors, and their employees and agents, from and against claims, liabilities and expenses arising from injury, sickness or death from contraction or spread of COVID-19 or other communicable disease due to travel to or attendance at an event sponsored by AREMA. 
 
I will take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate social distancing, wearing a mask when requested and/or required, minimize face touching, frequently washing hands and avoiding risky environments such as crowded bars or restaurants. I agree not to attend any AREMA event if I feel ill or have had recent exposure to a COVID-19 case.  If I do attend the event and I feel ill, I will alert AREMA staff that I am not feeling well and will cancel my event participation.  I realize there will not be a refund provided if I am unable to attend while on-site and the program will be available to me On Demand.  If I have to extend my stay at the hotel because I am not feeling well, I will do so directly with hotel staff to make my own arrangements. 
This waiver and release are binding on me and my heirs, including my successors. 
 
What is AREMA Cancellation/Transfer Policy? 
Cancellations must be received in writing on or before January 10, 2025, to meetings@arema.org to obtain a refund. A 20% processing fee will be charged for all cancellations regardless of the reason. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after January 10, 2025. Transfers may be made by sending an e-mail to meetings@arema.org. The individual submitting the transfer request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution, which could include a member to a non-member registration fee. 
 
What is the refund policy if I have already paid for an event that has been canceled? 
AREMA will refund your registration fee back to the original form of payment within 2-3 weeks of the cancellation notice.     

Hotel Cancellation Policy
Canceling your hotel reservation before 6:00 PM (local hotel time) two days before your reservation will result in no charge. Canceling your reservation between 6:00 PM within two days will result in a charge for the first night per room to your credit card or other guaranteed payment method.
 
Will AREMA provide a list of attendees for the Symposium? 
Yes, the list of attendees will be on the AREMA 365 Mobile App in the Connect section for registered attendees.
